Ondeto Scarf

I am so proud to have a design in the Winter collection of Pom Pom Quarterly (PPQ 19). This is a publication I've always admired so being part of this collection is a big achievement to me.

The theme for this issue is Reflection, and each designer interpreted it her own way. I was inspired by water ripples to design this scarf.

I had the chance to work it in the beautiful hand-dyed yarn by The Uncommon Thread, Posh DK. It's a blend of BFL, silk and cashmere so it's soft and it has a very luxurious feel.

The result is a cosy and stylish scarf for winter with an interesting geometric pattern made of ktbl cables.

Écharpe Ondeto

Je suis très fière de vous présenter cette écharpe, qui fait partie de la collection d'hiver du magazine Pom Pom Quarterly (PPQ 19). C'est un magazine que j'ai toujours beaucoup admiré, donc faire partie de cette collection est pour moi un bel accomplissement.

Le thème de cette collection est "Reflection" (reflet en français), et chaque styliste l'a interprété à sa façon. Mon inspiration pour créer cette écharpe vient des mouvements d'onde de l'eau.

J'ai eu la chance de tricoter cette écharpe dans une magnifique laine teinte à la main de The Uncommon Thread, Posh DK. C'est un mélange de BFL, soie et cashmere, donc doux et avec un touché très luxueux.

Le résultat est une écharpe stylée et confortable pour l'hiver avec un intéressant motif géométrique fait de torsades tricotées dans le brin envers.

Crazy Cat Hat - pattern release

My Crazy Cat Hat pattern was just published in Holla Knits Accessories 2016 collection!

I'm so glad to have a design again in Holla Knits, I love working with Allyson and she always put together amazing collections of pattern.

I’m a big cat lover, they are an everyday comfort and support, and a constant source of inspiration. So this hat is a tribute to all cats and their cute, crazy face! It’s a very fun knit, and a cute accessory to wear as a pop of color on your head with any outfit. Besides, it will put a smile on everyone’s face!

The hat is worked in Knit Picks Swish DK in the round on a circular needle. The cat heads are worked in stranded knitting with four different colors.

And here is the original inspiration for this hat : my cat, Hooper! I really love this photo, because it's not staged at all. I wanted to see what the hat looked from the side post blocking so I put the timer on my camera, and that's exactly the moment Hooper chose to come and give me a kiss. Believe me, I've tried restaging this, but it didn't work, so what you see is pure spontaneous love!

Mon modèle Crazy Cat Hat vient d'être publié dans le magazine américain Holla Knits Accessories 2016!

Je suis très contente d'avoir un nouveau modèle dans Holla Knits, j'adore travailler avec Allyson et elle assemble toujours de superbes collections de modèles.

Je suis une grande amoureuse des chats, ils apportent un réconfort et un soutien quotidien, et sont une source constante d'inspiration. Ce bonnet est donc un hommage à tous les chats et leur "crazy" tête ! C'est un tricot fun et un accessoire mignon à porter comme un éclat de couleur sur votre tête, avec n’importe quelle tenue. Vous ne passerez pas inaperçue !

Ce bonnet est tricoté avec une laine DK, il est fait en rond sur une aiguille circulaire. Les têtes de chat sont travaillées en jacquard avec quatre couleurs différentes.

Et un peu plus haut, vous avez pu voir la source originale d'inspiration pour ce bonnet : mon chat, Hooper ! J'aime beaucoup cette photo parce qu'elle n'est pas du tout mise en scène. Je voulais voir à quoi ressemblait mon bonnet de côté après l'avoir bloqué, alors j'ai mis mon appareil photo sur retardateur, et c'est ce moment précis qu'Hooper a choisi pour venir et me faire un bisou. Croyez moi, j'ai essayé de répliquer la mise en scène par la suite, mais ça n'a pas marché, alors ce que vous voyez est un acte d'amour pur et spontané !

Worked is the so soft and light cotton yarn Evie, by Sublime Yarn, it features a simple stranded pattern and stripes.

Wet Hot Summer Shorts - Pattern Release

I have the great pleasure of announcing you the release of my newest pattern : Wet Hot Summer Shorts as part as Holla Knits Summer 2016 collection!

After seeing Wet Hot American Summer, I wanted to bring sexy to my summer wardrobe! So I designed those mid-waist shorts to wear in the city or at the beach all summer with big sandals and a cute crop top. What I enjoyed most when knitting those shorts were all the different techniques I got to use. I’ve been obsessed with grafting in pattern lately and I love the looks of those horizontal cabled legs! The cable pattern is worked flat and then the last stitches are grafted with the provisional cast on. Stitches are then picked up on the side of the cable panel and the rest of the shorts is worked in stockinette stitch in the round, with short rows to shape the back. The waistband has an elastic band inserted for a perfect fit. This pattern is highly customizable, you can make longer legs, add more room in the back and make a lower or higher waist as you wish!
