Wet Hot Summer Shorts - Pattern Release

I have the great pleasure of announcing you the release of my newest pattern : Wet Hot Summer Shorts as part as Holla Knits Summer 2016 collection!

After seeing Wet Hot American Summer, I wanted to bring sexy to my summer wardrobe! So I designed those mid-waist shorts to wear in the city or at the beach all summer with big sandals and a cute crop top. What I enjoyed most when knitting those shorts were all the different techniques I got to use. I’ve been obsessed with grafting in pattern lately and I love the looks of those horizontal cabled legs! The cable pattern is worked flat and then the last stitches are grafted with the provisional cast on. Stitches are then picked up on the side of the cable panel and the rest of the shorts is worked in stockinette stitch in the round, with short rows to shape the back. The waistband has an elastic band inserted for a perfect fit. This pattern is highly customizable, you can make longer legs, add more room in the back and make a lower or higher waist as you wish!

Summer Shorts for Holla Knits - Preview

In one week, my design is getting released in the next Holla Knits summer collection. I am so proud to be part of this collection, and so happy with this new design! Here is a little sneak peek (yes, those are summer shorts!)

Corinthe Cowl - New Release

Here is my latest design : Corinthe Cowl

It's made with 2 skeins of Malabrigo Twist, knitted completely in the round from side to side, with a provisional cast-on then grafted to the last stitches to join it in a round. The pattern features different kind of cable over knits and purls.

I made this cowl for Lilas. We chose the yarn together and I wanted to make her something sophisticate, with a lot of texture.

Voici mon dernier modèle : Corinthe Cowl

Il est fait à partir de 2 pelotes de Malabrigo Twist. Tricoté entièrement en rond, d'un côté à l'autre, il possède un montage provisoire de maille ensuite attaché aux dernières mailles par grafting pour en faire un tube. Le motif est fait de plusieurs torsades d'inspiration orientales sur mailles endroit et envers. 

J'ai fait ce col pour Lilas. On a choisi la laine ensemble, et je voulais lui faire quelque chose de sophistiqué, avec beaucoup de texture.

New release - Pepito-Barnabe Set

I just released a new set of patterns :

Pepito-Barnabe Hat and Cowl

These funky pony hat and cowl are warm accessories for winter. They feature simple colorwork and a small pony chart. I designed them for a friend’s mother who loves horse riding, and I called it Pepito-Barnabe because if we ever have a pony, that would be its name.

Je viens de sortir deux nouveaux modèles :

Le bonnet et le col Pepito-Barnabe

Ces accessoires funky sont très chauds pour l'hiver. Ils possèdent un jaquard très simple avec un motif poney. Je les ai conçus pour la mère d'un ami qui aime beaucoup l'équitation. Et ils s'appellent Pepito-Barnabe, parce que si jamais nous avons un poney un jour, tel sera son nom.

Great news

I sent a submission a few weeks ago and my design was accepted in a publication ! It will be my first design published in a collection and a good one at that ! I'm so proud and excited ! Of course, it will remain a secret before publication, but I can tell you that it's a knitted accessory. And as I knitted a complete item for the submission, I'm pretty confident about this design. I can't wait to receive my yarn support and get to work !

J'ai répondu à un appel à projet il y a quelques semaines, et mon design a été accepté dans une publication ! Ce sera mon premier modèle publié dans une collection, et pas des moindres ! Je suis tellement fière ! Bien sur, cela restera secret jusqu'à la publication, mais je peux vous dire qu'il s'agit d'un accessoire tricoté. Et comme je l'ai tricoté en entier pour l'appel à projet, je suis très confiante pour ce design. J'ai hâte de recevoir ma laine et de me mettre au travail !
